El Príncipe Tutul Xiu — Restaurant in Maní

Aprovechando las fiestas patrias, visité Maní y terminé en este famoso restaurante para almorzar. No es primera vez que voy. He ido varias veces y en la última no me fue muy bien. No obstante, mi acompañante quería conocerlo. El lugar es muy grande y un amable mesero nos dio carta blanca para sentarnos donde quisiéramos. Pedimos refresco de lima [muy azucarado], queso relleno y panuchos. El refresco llegó en un suspiro. Los panuchos llegaron pero me desconcertaron: eran dos de huevo y uno de pollo. Llamamos al mesero y se disculpó, ya que yo quería tres de pollo. La comida estuvo bastante buena. Los panuchos mucho mejor que los que venden por mi casa. Tortillas a mano para acompañar el queso relleno. Muy ricas. Para terminar, pedimos dulce de ciruela y pregunté si había café. "Sí, pero es Nescafé" [café soluble], manifestó con honestidad. Pedí de todas manera porque la manejada hasta la urbe es larga. Ya se iba cuando le agregué: por favor, muy caliente. Las ciruelas estuvieron ricas, en especial porque no te ahogaban de dulce. El café entró a mi memoria como el deliciosamente más caliente que he tomado. Humilde pero sabroso. Me acomodó la comida y me despertó para el viaje. ¿Quién iba a decir que lo más sencillo iba a ser lo inolvidable? Is a good restaurant that you must visit if you are in Yucatán. It is about 1 hr and 10 minutes from Merida city, not very close but is worth it.
