Bar La Chavela — Restaurant in Mexico City

Main reason for 1 star: They add a service fee (which is optional in Mexico) as obligatory in the consume ticket.

If you don't notice, they don't say anything and if you ask for it they act evasive and passive aggressive.

Music is a mostly bad mix between different genres (pop followed by salsa, then regueton and following). IMPORTANT: If you want to dance, you better look for another place since they don't have a proper area for this.

Customer service is regular, not bad but for a moment you can feel a lack of attention.

In prices, I think is a little bit overpriced but you can justify it with the location (however, that is not a real reason to hide the service fee in the ticket).

Place is clean, food is regular good and drinks like beer and mojitos are okay. However, I would not recommend this until they stop trying to fool...

Apparently best beer place in the area, they only serve by the liter, can be micheladas also, price is good for the area and bottle service is cheap, consider it, kitchen limited but it looks lika a sports bar, music is good but loud, so do not go there for conversation, go there to get drunk and loud! Best priced bar in the area! Service always good in Mexico and as expected, place not fancy but...

No vayan literalmente acabo de salir de ahí y prácticamente nos corrieron que por qué no había gente se tenía que cerrar sevicio por qué prácticamente las 14 personas q estábamos presentes no éramos suficiente para que nos dejarán seguir consumiendo ok dije a mi acompañante vamonos ya nos corrieron subió al primer nivel un señor de barba le pregunto ya cerrarán?? Y me responde eso q no hay suficiente aforo y esa es la razón q dieron para decirnos bye ok va la mesera no hizo nada la que hace rato estaba disque atendiendo sentada en las escaleras para subir al segundo nivel con su celular llega y me entrega la cuenta de 2 cervezas y un azulito en total la cuenta era de 180 pesos por qué están en 60 cada uno a no me puso una cuenta de 210 que por q su servicio valía el 15%. Por ciento jajaja me reí y dije no no te daré el 15 la verdad te dejare el 10 vale y dale gracias a Dios q te deje se que no es mucho pero no deben de ser así el servicio no es obligatorio pero q no abusen por eso digo nadie vaya ahí Hiba a consumir les 16000 pesos por q es mi aniversario pero bueno se pierden de un buen cliente gracias gerencia si es que...
