Very convenient location in the mall. We went during the week and were seated pretty quickly with a party of 3. Nice atmosphere with TVs and music. Has a bar vibe. They started us with a shot of warm shrimp soup. It wasn’t bad, but definitely a little fishy. The coconut margarita was very good but I was a little upset that as the waitress was grabbing it from the bartender, she spilled quite a bit of it and they didn’t make a new one or fill it with more drink. They added more ice to try to fill the glass instead. I feel like I didn’t get nearly enough of the drink I paid for. The guacamole was fresh but did need some lime/salt/pepper. I wanted the ribeye tacos but they were out so I had to get the fish tacos instead. They were decent. What I really liked was the empanada. It was hot and fresh and very flavorful (I had the beef and my peer had the cheese). I wish I would have just ordered a variety of those instead of the fish. Quite decent, surprisingly. We were just looking for a late night drink somewhere a bit more lively than our hotel bar. After checking the menu we were tempted to try the crabmeat tacos and a tostada, not expecting much, but they were both excellent. La Cervecería de Barrio es sin duda una excelente opción para quienes buscan un ambiente relajado, buena comida del mar y una experiencia ideal para compartir entre amigos. Personalmente, me parece un lugar que combina muy bien la frescura de los ingredientes con un toque informal pero bien cuidado en su presentación y sabor. Uno de los aspectos que más disfruté fue lo bien servido de cada platillo; no solo la porción es generosa, sino que el sabor está realmente a la altura de las expectativas.

Los camarones empanizados fueron uno de mis favoritos: crujientes por fuera, jugosos por dentro, perfectamente dorados y con un sabor que resalta sin necesitar demasiados acompañamientos. La tostada de atún es ideal para quienes disfrutan del pescado en su forma más fresca; el atún apenas salteado conserva su textura suave y un sabor intenso que se equilibra con los demás ingredientes.
