Another beach side restaurant with covered eating area, good food and drinks and it is exactly on the spot where the first restaurant ever in Lo De Marcos was located in 1969. Note: There was no town of Lo De Marcos in 1969. There was only a dirt road from Hwy 200 (which was also unpaved) leading west to the beach. The first restaurant only served cold beer (from an ice chest) beans, rice, fresh tortillas and freshly caught fish which were only caught after you ordered. The then owner's son would paddle out just pass the surf line and catch how many fish you ordered. Fantastic, mind altering, inspiring, and magic. Fantastic views and direct access...
Read moreIt's unfortunate given the prime location of a rare beachfront eaterie in this town, that the owner and staff are so inhospitable. Each visit gets worse. Today while walking my little dog along the beach, I thought I'd stop in for a drink and snack.. I was greeted with a big sign stating NO MASCOTAS. (pets). Now, considering the tables are outside, in the SAND, in a fairly small apparently friendly village, that doesn't jive with me. Best of luck to them that more competition on the beach doesn't (easily) squeeze them out!! Note... The prices have hiked...
