Panchos bar — Restaurant in Nuevo Progreso

This is the second time we have been to Poncho's in 6 months. I had the chili Rellano and we also had 1 order of Lounches and one order of tacos. The food once again was very fresh and tasty. We had to Top Shelf margaritas and a Corona as well for our lunch. Our total bill was $30. In Florida this would have set us back $60 and not near as good quality. They have a very large seating area, dance floor and live music I would highly suggest stopping in if you make it to Nuevo Progreso

Came back To the area of March 2022. Of course we had to stop at our favorite place Panchos and We were lucky enough to be greeted by our favorite server Jorge. I cannot say enough good things about this place from the dancing , music , food , drinks and service. The entire staff was very pleasant as always and the food was excellent. Try a Don Julio top shelf margarita but standby these are quite a bit stronger than what you will get...

Pancho's Bar in Nuevo Progreso, MX, is my go-to spot every time I head back to the US. Sure, it's a bit touristy, but trust me, it's a local favorite for good reason! I never deviate from ordering the Sombrero Plate – those mixed fajitas, bell peppers, onions, and gooey cheese on that sizzling platter just hit differently. And let's not forget about my wife's beef lonches – they always hit the spot for her. The service? Oh, it's consistently top-notch, adding to the whole experience. Great place to have a drink and order some good tex-mex food. Their bistek lonches were delicious, granted this is the first time I had one of those. The milanesa steak (breaded steak) was fried just right and had a very good flavor. The top shelf margarita I ordered on the rocks was excellent, so was the piña colada. Atmosphere is very lively with a 2 member band playing some country and mexican norteña music. Prices are affordable about average for this town.
