Have spent time in Mexico City and Oaxaca City, and have eaten some incredible food at some fancy restaurants.
However this restaurant’s food is the best we have eaten by FAR. Yes it’s a rustic setting, and it isn’t fancy, but it is so authentic, and most importantly, so delicious.
The owners and staff are just the loveliest people, and nothing is too much.
We got a pollo tinga, and the pollo enchiladas with Mole Negro (better mole in my opinion than ANY we tried in Oaxaca (we tried a lot!) - it started sweet and smokey and rich, and ended with gentle spice - so perfect.
