This is the largest restaurant on this beach and it's associated with the hotel above it. We were flagged down by a waiter off the road and offered a place to park (he was rather insistent, even though we had already found our way to the public parking area - and from there, it's only a short staircase down to the beach).
If you park at the restaurant, expect to be double and triple parked as they try to squeeze more cars in the tiny lot, which is shared with hotel guests.
Food wise, we ordered the catch of the day. It tasted decent, nothing special, and rather expensive. Was more of a light lunch split between two people, at the cost of 2 regular meals. In addition, they add an automatic service of nearly 10% to your bill. May want to keep that in mind when tipping. Service and food were slow and not especially attentive.
Cordelia's offers a nice view of the water and fishing boats (same as all the other restaurants on this beach), which is fairly quiet and fairly kid-friendly.
Relaxed vibe generally, but there are many vendors up and down the beach who are quite insistent and they'll bother you consistently before, during, and after your meal. Overall, there are better experiences and better...
Read moreIf you care about your health, don’t go there at any cost. We were taken there by our guide on a day tour to Ventanilla. We trusted him and didn’t check the restaurant prior on Google. After having a lunch there, me and my partner got sick, with vomiting and diarrea. I ended up in a hospital urgency service in Huatulco. The diagnosis was a severe bacterial gastroenteritis due to contaminated food or drinks.
I am sorry that we didn’t ask the guide to choose a restaurant on our own. The place was dirty, including tables, glasses and dishes, crowded with people, 0 hygiene. The food was very low quality and doesn’t worth the price they charge for it. The mariscada is a scam. Worst restaurant that we ate in one week in Mazunte, Puerto Escondido, Huatulco. But the worst is what comes after with the sickness. The other restaurants we chose during our trip had 4,7 and 4,8 stars in Google Reviews, were clean and cheaper, food was delicious and many of them were also on the beach. Keep you and your family safe and don’t eat in this restaurant. We are leaving this review to prevent others from the nightmare that we...
Read moreFood took forever to be ready, we had one person allergic to shrimp so they offer to substitute with a flank steak, they make us paid the most expensive parrillada, and what we got was a cheap piece of meat, I wouldn't call it steak, also for a person with allergies the few shrimps we were serve were all over the place on top of the other food which make it impossible for that person to eat anything else on the plate, we paid 1300 pesos for a seafood grill that suppose to be for 5 ppl, there were hardly any shrimp on the plate thinking that size of shrimp cost around 250 pesos per kilo I couldn't believe we were serve so poor, if you are taken to this place as part of your tour, please choose somewhere else as food is not really worth it and for anything in the world choose the parrillada as is a scam. We are never...
