If you have noticed, the pizza place is no longer the same type of atmosphere that it once had. Manhattan's Pizza now caters to the younger audience, which is very clear by the trampolines and various arcade machines. If you have come to love the restaurant that was before the transition, you might be a little disappointed. I personally liked the restaurant when it was downstairs. So, my review is based only on my recent trip to this restaurant, which is in the same plaza only at a different location.
Let's get straight to the food. This restaurant is very popular here in Piedras Negras, and their pizzas are very delicious. I personally like the extra pepperoni, which I find is the best pizza there is. The pizzas come out fast and fresh. This is where the restaurant excels at. However, there are some flaws that you should be aware of before taking your kids here to go eat.
At first I was going to give a very critical review as I have found many flaws in this restaurant. For starters I found it a bit pricey in many of their food and entertainment options. Some of the arcade machines did not work, and some controllers on their arcades also were malfunctioning. The basketballs kept getting stuck. Also, the way that you ordered your products was, in my opinion, very counterintuitive. Maybe for some, it's just a minor nuisance, but for me, it was a deal breaker.
Let me explain. When you first get there, you have the option of buying tokens for the arcades or wristbands for the trampolines. You can only buy the tokens and wristbands at this register only. Then if you want to order pizza you order it at another register that's in the back of the restaurant. If you want to order drinks, you can also order here at the register, but you have to turn in your receipts at another area to get your drinks. While they do take your pizza to the table, everything else you have to get on your own. An Icee will cost you around 80 pesos, a bottle of water will cost you 29 pesos, a regular pepperoni pizza will cost you 250 pesos the 200 pesos wristband per child, and 50 pesos for 10 tokens.
But as I was writing this review I felt that I was being unfair because although I feel this place is a little bit on the pricey side, in the end it was my kids who reviewed this place. My 4 and 6 year old didn't even notice that some of the machines didn't work or that one of the controllers was busted or that the service was lacking, or that I had to pay at two registers. All they saw were arcade machines, trampolines, pizza, and drinks. They had a blast! As soon as they got inside my vehicle, they were tired and sleeping until we got home. The job was done, my kids got worn out, they were happy, and so was I, and I think that's what really matters here.
Okay so this place has its flaws of course but that pizza really makes up for everything else. I would also like to conclude that the place is very clean so good...
Read morePizza was ok nothing to write home about. There are no waiters anymore they remodeled into a sort of chucky cheese system where you have to get up and order your food. What bothered me though is they barely give you any condiments for your pizza or fries. Two hot pepper packets for a large pizza and only a very small container of catchup for an entire order of fries. The old version was way better instead of this Chucky...
Read moreWe waited 52 mins for an order of boneless wings and one pizza. People came and went and received their order faster. Employee by the name of noe was rude and condescending. The manager pretty much said he didn't believe we waited that long and would have to check the cameras. We paid 525 pesos for a pizza , drink and boneless wings. The flavor did not justify the price. We will not return and do not...
