Antes Meridiano — Restaurant in Puebla

We went to Puebla for a weekend getaway and went for breakfast for all three days! Everytime we went the staff were excellent and courteous and we could not have had a better experience. My wife had seen their coffee and almond croissant on Instagram but the cafe owner very kindly agreed to make it for on us Sunday as she usually only makes it on special occasions. Service and experience wise, there is nothing we can honestly suggest they could have done better, they were literally that good. My parents and my wife don't speak much Spanish, same applies to me as well, but everyone spoke English we were beyond thankful.

As far as the food goes, again excellent. We ordered french toast, hotcakes, their various combinations with poached eggs over all three days and it was perfect to say the least. The huevos arabes muy fit had some labneh with chilies that were pretty spicy so I absolutely loved that. Me decepcioné totalmente. El sabor de la comida es regular, nada del otro mundo, el precio es acorde a lo que te sirven. Le quieren dar un ambiente campirano al restaurante pero raya en lo descuidado. Nos asignaron una mesa en la terraza, super pequeña, cuadrada tipo picnic, dónde apenas cabía el plato y el vaso, y dónde corrías el riesgo de que el vaso de cayera porque las tablitas de la mesa estaban muy separadas, e incluso los sobres de azúcar los pusieron en la barda porque no cabían en la mesa, las sillas super incómodas y no te puedes sentar bien por la estructura de la mesa no permite acercar la silla lo suficiente. Pedí un perchero y tampoco tenían; nos trajeron una silla para poner la bolsa pero estorbaba mucho el paso y cuando los meseros pasaban por ahí, chocaban con nuestra mesa. Pedimos cambio de mesa y nos dijo la chica que en cuanto se desocupara una nos la asignaban, se desocuparon varias y nunca nos cambiaron. Consejo: si saben que los comensales no van a estar cómodos con el espacio, no pongan otra mesa si no cabe! No es una cafetería, es un restaurante donde uno espera ir a desayunar con el espacio suficiente para colocar los platos y todo lo que necesites para comer a gusto. Terrible experience. They made us wait 35-45 to get a table on a Thursday morning, so I suggest you make a reservation. I ordered an iced latte and they served me literally just a huge glass of milk with a shot of espresso.
