Dirty pub food. A few big problems. The pros: (these are kinda telling) - kinda inexpensive - the totopos were great - house salsa was great (but the bowl wasn’t clean and it was clearly old and reused table to table) - horchada and jamaica were nice (this is very hard to mess up, but the glasses were gross, sooo) The cons: - service was very slow! Only three tables in the hour and a half we were there - after the food came it was several minutes before cutlery came and before fajita tortillas came, so it was cold - very very weak Margarita (oops all lime juice?) - very dusty and dirty everywhere, surfaces, chairs, rafters, everything dirty - old dirty fake flowers on tables - shoddy repair jobs and junk lying around the yard - flavourless food very sloppily made and not fresh (we had shrimp tacos, octopus tacos, steak fajitas) - no veg or pico for tacos - Ran out of conch (I guess this would have been fresh which might have been nice?) - drinking glasses looked/felt unwashed - bottled sauces on table were all old, not cleaned up, oxidizing - college cafeteria vibes (dumb music too loud) - the kitchen was essentially made up of 1 giant freezer, a microwave, and 1 frying pan (pictured in the very scary kitchen shot below) - couldn’t finish the food because it wasn’t…. great. It was mid. It is hard to mess up this cuisine because it’s simple. So it was edible and kinda fine. But ultimately just kinda unappealing due to greasy bland and dull flavours, and we left with half full plates.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Chichén Itzá Ruins. What a gem! The workers ( maybe family run) were so helpful and accommodating. The food and drinks were fantastic and very flavorful. It was such a nice , relaxing and cheerful place to enjoy a meal.

Best fish fingers ever, with the best fish sauce ever. Very friendly people, nice ambiance, lots of space, plants. We might eat here again (only staying 3 days in this town)

Had the mixed ceviche here and it was so good! Also, definitely recommend the coconut ice cream which was served in a coconut with dulce de leche.

The service was also really great as everyone was super nice and attentive. I did need to stretch my Spanish speaking skills...
