We were a group of six made a reservation for 7:00 p.m. the restaurant had hardly any patrons other than us but for Mexico it was early. We all ordered the Caesar salad which was marginal and was described as made table side and indeed it was, we then ordered our main dish after being presented a cart of plastic vacuum packed steaks to choose from. The main dishes came together before the salad was served even though we ordered the salad as a first plate I ordered the salmon my wife ordered the brochette of steak which she said was good. my salmon was the mustard sweet sour mustard salmon which was basically grilled salmon with a mustard sauce poured on the top it was okay but I was expecting salmon glazed with mustard or something more creative. others at the table ordered steaks and they found them to be not what they had expected. we ordered wine the white wine they served initially was not chilled they brought an ice bucket for the first bottle took 15 minutes to chill the bottle when we ordered a second bottle they didn't already have it being chilled and again we had to wait. by this time they had to they had removed the wine bucket so they had to get that once again as well all in all it was a disappointing evening from a food standpoint and a service standpoint. the ambiance of the restaurant was quite nice but we all believe this is a training issue and or management issue and it will be quite a while before I try again if I try again at the prices they were charging the service and the food should be top-notch and unfortunately it wasn't this evening. We did speak to the person in charge presumably the manager who accepted the constructive criticism said he understood and he agreed with their shortcomings and apologized. All in all the bill was 6,000 pesos...
Read moreAlthough the atmosphere was pleasant the restaurant is odd in that it seems to have a very loud children/family section and the regular "high end" section. The selections were overpriced for what I received which was "mid" at best. The prime rib taco was overcooked, the meat was not juicy nor did it give "prime rib" taste, just beef. The "free" entree was a dab of salmon mousse on a ritz cracker. smh. I ordered pesto pasta with shrimp, around 350 pesos (a bit under $20). 4 shrimp on a bed over overcooked pasta with a gluey sauce. the ice tea was tasty, the lemon cake dessert was tasty. Final nail in the coffin was the waiter ignored my request to take my leftovers home (more than half a bowl of pasta and 2 shrimp left). "Oh, I put it in the trash." I guess you're just throwing my money away then. WTH? Anyway, that...
