Rico's Café - Marina — Restaurant in Sinaloa

We tried two of their locations while staying in Mazatlán and had a great experience in both. My husband and I both enjoyed being able to eat some of the "comfort" foods of the US that are not so easy to find since we've moved to Mexico. We went to this location first, on a Friday. We had to wait only 10-15 min for breakfast. Not too bad. My only minor complaint is that we seemed to wait a while for our coffee, which didn't come out until our food was really. It would have been nice to sip and enjoy it, and "wake up", which waiting. Perhaps it was it was one of the "fancy" coffee drinks, and it took a moment to prepare. And, it was weekend busy. I understand. Like I said, that was probably my only complaint. We will definitely return next time...

We had dinner at this Marina location and thoroughly enjoyed it all! This location has a great outdoor patio for dining, the bar is beautiful, and indoor seating is very comfortable. I got the Fish Hamburger and it was huge! The pic can’t truly capture the size of it. Husband had the fish and chips and he was very pleased. Tropico Rico & Matcha Frappes were great! And the Service!!! I wish all restaurants in Mazatlan has this level of service! The servers are all very kind and sweet. You can tell that they have a good work environment and proper training. No había tenido oportunidad de visitar esta sucursal, pero de haberlo sabido me la pierdo. Súper mal servicio, desde que llegamos nadie nos recibió en la entrada, nadie nos dijo a dónde dirigirnos o qué mesa tomar, fuimos a la mesa que más nos pareció cómoda para nosotros, éramos cuatro y decidimos sentarnos en una mesa amplia (aparentemente para seis personas), de hecho estaba sucia y con platos en la mesa, esperamos a que alguien nos atendiera para pedir que nos limpien la mesa, y esto pasó hasta después de 10 minutos que vino una mesera (con una actitud un tanto molesta) y nos limpió la mesa, nos dejó menús y nos dió tiempo para ver lo que pediríamos. Al volver tomó la orden. Pasado los minutos, volvió para decirnos que si no íbamos a llenar la mesa, es decir, que si no se ocuparían los seis asientos nos moviéramos que porque esa mesa es para mesas grandes, súper comprensible su argumento, sin embargo, al vernos desde el principio pudo habernos advertido de este asunto y no desplazarnos de la forma que lo hizo, porque la verdad no fue de una manera atenta o amable. Accedimos a movernos porque nos dió vergüenza, sin embargo el rato a partir de ahí se tornó incómodo, tanto para mí y mis acompañantes. Efectivamente, la mesa que estábamos ocupando la llenaron con seis personas. El problema no fue movernos, sino la forma en que lo hizo la mesera. El servicio fue cumplidor a secas.
