A much needed addition to La Choya, (and Puerto Penasco). Great food, service can be great or slow depending on how busy they are. A bit chaotic sometimes but still worth it. It has gotten better since they first opened. Good fish and shrimp, ask for extra garlic. The oysters are very fresh and they have item's not listed on the menu, just ask. Their spanish rice is very good. Good beer and wine selection, even have Corona and Pacifico. Prices are decent and the atmosphere there is great, with a wonderful vibe. I will be back every trip.

Amazing quality and quantity for the value! I live in Mexico, I'm not easily surprised by good prices, but the amount of oysters and mussels we got for the value was amazing. We got steak which was awesome, accompanied by a potato, we have ceviche, crab cakes among a few other menu selections which I forget. We had excellent drinks and the staff were very friendly. It was nice and hidden away too. I highly recommend. Leave the resort hell of the hotel zone where most food is trash and come here instead!

Loved this place since the first time I stopped by in rocky point! Just had to come here with my girlfriend to show her! The pasta I had was decent, I don’t expect crazy good pastas in Mexico. I had the shrimp bisque as well and that was top notch. But my favorite thing I had while I was there were the crab cakes! Damn crab cakes I wish this place was around the corner from me I would be a regular! Also has a really nice view specially at sundown!

We have been to the Oyster House numerous times, but our experience here over Memorial Weekend was the absolute worst ever. Yes, I realize that it was a holiday weekend and they were busy, but the place was not packed and there were empty tables. Our experience started with us arriving at 7:50 pm and we were not greeted by a waiter for over 40 minutes. No drinks, not I will be right with you, nothing. We were patient as we can see they were busy. Is what we witnessed was our waiter running back and fourth serving kids ice cream from the new BBQ and ice cream building next door. We finally flagged a waiter down, and he said he was busy and would be there as soon as he can. We finally got our drinks and ordered our food after being there 55 minutes! The food was definitely not worth going back.

We ordered a Caesar salad which came out as chicken Caesar salad - DRY, no dressing. Took forever to get the waiter back to let him know the salad was dry and we needed dressing… which we didn’t get until asking again after we done eating dinner. We had Calamari for an appetizer, and by far it was the weirdest calamari I’ve ever encountered. It looked like chicken nuggets. It was rubbery large chunks of tasteless rubber. Horrible, we each took one bite and left it. We all agreed it was awful, I feel like it was prepackaged and frozen. Next our entrees arrived. My husband had the garlic Fish and it was so dry and over cooked it was terrible, very small portion. It must have been cooked much earlier in the night. I had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo, the noodles and Alfredo sauce were good, but chicken was bland - almost as if it was boiled breast with no seasoning. We asked again for dressing for the dry salad, and waiter apologized and brought a to go box for the salad and some dressing since we were finished eating.

This was absolutely the worst dinner we’ve had maybe ever. We should have left after waiting so long, but there was no other option nearby and at this point it was late.

The whole experience of kids and people walking back and fourth through the outside table area has ruined the intimate dining feel that we use to get here. I am super bummed that we had such an awful experience as we are in Cholla and this place is a short walk down the beach for us. The best way for me to describe how poor quality our food was, we would have preferred frozen fish sticks from the...

The oysters are good, but everything else is TERRIBLE! We ordered two dozen raw for $10 per dozen. The menus posted on google are old, the prices have gone up. Their pricing is stupid. Basically almost everything is $10 and most not worth it. Margaritas are also $10 and after three, I still didn't even catch a buzz. We ordered, two dozen raw, a Caesar salad, clam chowder and supposedly shrimp ceviche, but it was Mexican shrimp cocktail, three Margaritas and our bill was $100. Caesar salad was a small bowl soaked with gross dressing and was mostly croutons, $10. Our not shrimp ceviche, was bad shrimp cocktail in a very runny sauce. They absolutely need a new cook I'm telling you.

Also, if you want good oysters and are up for the drive, the oyster farm out by Maya Resort has a dozen oysters for less than $5 per dozen (cheaper in pesos) and he pulls them right out of the water. Just take your own chips/crackers/condiments/beer/chairs, because it is nothing but tables and oysters. No napkins,...

We first ordered a dozen oysters for $12.00. Ummm...where's the oyster? Smallest oysters ever. Some with broken shells. Also, oyster shell pieces in every one that I slid in my mouth. Shells were super crumbly. Where's the ice? Oyster shells should be sitting on a bed of ice so they are chilled. This wasn't a good oyster experience at all. Next, we ordered steamed clam/muscle combo in wine and garlic broth. $14.00. Very large amount of steamers, so that was good. But, the broth was super bland...what a shame. Where was the wine? That broth needs some flavor. Lastly, super slow service and food delivery. There were only two other customers(at one table), so why so slow?? Also, hot sauce bottles were sticky, nearly empty and a poor selection. Sorry Oyster house, but your business needs some work. You have such a nice place with a beautiful view. It wouldn't be hard to improve the things...
