El Marcos Hermosillo — Restaurant in Sonora

Bad, ugly and expensive. Wrongly rated in Google.

I visited the place for dinner, I was biased by the high rank this place has in Google and Trip Advisor but I was a little bit concerned about the photos of the dishes. The place has an ugly circus decoration, the place needs cleaning. The menu is poor, mostly focused on shrimps, food without any kind of style. I tried the steak, please avoid it, it was bad, for sure this was not a local steak it tasted like Sams Club steak or something like that , such a bad thing to do with the steak in Sonora! They serve the steak on a pan over a wood, I notice that between the pan and the wood there was an over cooked oil, actually it was black.

My wife ordered the fish, so so, the vegetables were served almost raw. We shared the chistorra, this was bad, nothing different from something you can eat on the street. We decided to ask for the bill and skip the dessert, the experience was not good. The service was okay but I think the quality of the products is questionable. Me gustó mucho la decoración tipo callejuela, el servicio, los platillos y el amplio estacionamiento. Llegamos y nos dieron un mini consome de camarón de cortesía al igual que totopos con salsa. Probé unos tacos de chicharrón de atún, muy ricos, el atún no estaba como chicharrón, estaba solo dorado en cubitos. Las opciones de pollo nos parecieron interesantes y en esta ocasión probamos el pollo al Tamarindo. Es una pechuga enrolladita y empanizada luego acomodada en mitades que se elevan del plato. Después bañadas en la salsa de Tamarindo. El plato venía con una pasta y verduras. De postre un cheesecake super delicioso. Los precios están termino medio. Ni muy altos, ni muy económicos. Por ejemplo el plato del pollo fue de $200 (Ago 2022) o sea, esta alto como para ir a comer 5 veces a la semana pero es mas bajo que los restaurantes caros disque con cocina de autor. Tienen un área climatizada y una terraza muy agradable al frente. Los meseros muy serviciales y amables. La pasamos muy bien, la música pasaba desapercibida al igual que los videos, no te distraian. Puedes platicar agusto sin tener que estar gritando, ganándole a la música para que te escuchen. Buen aire acondicionado. Como está en la plaza comercial frente al cine, hay mucho donde estacionarte, si quieres resguardarte del sol o lluvia, hay sótano y varios pisos de estacionamiento. También está el abierto.
