Mariscos El Mazateño — Restaurant in Sonora

The Camarones Enchilado (spicy shrimp tacos) or known as El Mazateño taco is the STAR of the Show and the best shrimp taco in Mexico. I personally have eaten at 3 of the restaurants. 2 in Tijuana Mexico and they are the best at those locations. The Tacos in Tijuana at Mazateño are a bit bigger too.

The green salsa is very good but Very Spicy at this location more than the others. I like the Tijuana version because the flavor shines better on the less spicy version.

The other good tacos are the Pulpo Enchilado. Cruchy texture and the flavor is excellent. Also the "perron" fried fish is very good.

The super tostada with shrimp civeche is delicious.

One of the best sea food places I've had the pleasure of eating at. The food was delicious and the service was great. I highly recommend the Boston shrimp plate, which comes with rice and vegetables. The shrimps were wrapped in pairs with bacon and stuffed with a cheese of your choice (Jalapeño, Monterrey, or Philadelphia) in the middle of each pair of shrimps. What I'd call a "locals" place on the main drag nearly across from Walmart (we were the only gringos in sight). This is not a taco joint, but rather a wonderful unpretentious and sizeable seafood restaurant.
