Qué Chévere Venezuelan Food is a must‑visit in Puerto Peñasco! I had the Cappresse arepa, filled with mozzarella, tomato, basil, and pesto, and the Chamita arepa, loaded with melted cheese, avocado, tomato, and corn—both were fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. I also tried a veggie empanada, crispy tequeños (cheese sticks), white rice, and perfectly fried tostones. Everything tasted homemade and full of authentic Venezuelan flavor. To drink, I had their famous Malta Polar, a slightly sweet, non-alcoholic malt beverage that was rich, smooth, and refreshing. Everything was served beautifully, and the food was both comforting and full of vibrant flavor. From the arepas to the sauces, it’s clear this place puts heart into every plate. Eat like a local. Support local. Qué Chévere is a gem you don’t want to miss!

Que Chevere! Tucked away in a cozy homefront off Av. Constitución, Que Chevere brings together the best of Venezuelan and Mexican cuisine through the loving craftsmanship of Daniel and his mother. Their pupusas are the real star of the show here. The crispy exterior gives way to a perfectly melted interior that makes every bite memorable. This mother-son duo has created something special, infusing each dish with family recipes passed down through generations. It's the kind of place where you'll want to become a regular – both for the incredible food and the warm welcome you'll receive every time you visit.

Very delicious and great service - Daniel was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the traditional tea, arepas and their daily special combo (not pictured). We even ordered more to take home and eat later! Definitely will be returning :)
