DOSIS CAFE VALLE — Restaurant in State of Mexico

Food is great. Service needs improvement. Bummed about their chai. They call it chai, but don't make it with black tea. Apparently it is a homemade preparation of their own with spices used to make masala chai. I wanted the caffeine and the spices on the cold winter morning. Needless to say, I skipped it. My husband says his capuccino was very good. He had the Reuben sandwich and I shared the vegan Reuben with my daughter. We liked ours. Beware though: the tomato sauce is spicy. I forgot to put it in the sandwich and tried it alone and set my mouth on fire. A friend had the salmon toast and said it was fantastic. The carrot cake was just the right amount of sweet, much better than the very sweet, cream cheese laden Starbucks kind. A friend had the almond croissant which she absolutely loved. The young busboy was sweet, the girls behind the counter not as much. Ordering can be slow. Having detailed printed menus would help a lot. The decor...

El lugar es lindo,la comida rica ,el sándwich de atún delicioso,solo mejoraría la parte del servicio,desde que llegamos la atención de cajera y compañeras no nos hicieron sentir cómodos,los sentimos algo clasistas ya que somos gente local, a pesar de que hicimos un buen consumo compramos cafés, pan y comimos , el café lo sirvieron en vasos de cartón como para llevar ,y el azúcar nos mencionaron que estaba en los estantes de atrás y que lo tomáramos,no nos invitaron a tomar alguna mesa, se la pasaron platicando las tres chicas , a pesar de que se acercaban a dejarnos pan y veían los platos no los recogían,solo un chico fue servicial, para el precio de todo creo que el servicio debería de estar atento,me gustó el pan , café y el sándwich pero por esos detalles no regresaría, creo no es correcto que cuando tienes comensales estés más interesada por la plática que por si necesitan algo , hago mención ya que les pedimos pan y mi esposo tuvo que regresar a la caja porque ala chica se le olvidó, estaría padre que capacitaran a su personal , y que tuvieran en cuenta que tanto gente del pueblo, como gente de fuera tienen el mismo...

We have been in Avandaro/Valle for 7 weeks. My wife and I work remotely and have been going to restaurants and coffee shops to work each work day since being here. Dosis is our favourite in the area. The food is the particular highlight. Everything is excellent! From sandwiches to the curry’s to the pastries. The coffee is as good as it gets as well. Bonus area...
