Mezcaleria Conejo en la Luna Teotihuacan — Restaurant in State of Mexico

Expensive food, low-grade service. I chose this restaurant because other reviewers claimed they had vegan options. When we arrived, we were presented with a QR code and wifi password- then were told the wifi was down. The service was subpar, the boy serving us couldn’t answer any of our questions regarding the food, he kept having to leave to ask the cook. They also blasted loud, American music that gave me a headache.

Next, they were “out” of rice and beans. They’d been open for 5 hours at this point so I found this appalling for a Mexican restaurant.

When the food arrived, the guacamole was under-seasoned; it tasted like avocado and tomato and nothing else. I was pleased when they were able to provide chilaquiles past breakfast time, and they were able to add veggies. These were quite delicious and spicy- so this was the only plus.

Otherwise, I’d rather take the 1-1.5 hour drive back to cdmx before ever...

We had a really disappointing experience here. First, they overcharged us for an extra dish we didn’t order. They also told us that if you order a Corona, you get a free mezcal, but then they charged us for the mezcal, and it was five times the price of a beer. We had to ask them to fix the bill four separate times because of multiple errors.

The food wasn’t great, and the service was even worse. The staff seemed totally uninterested, mostly just on their phones, and we barely got any attention. Also, the menu is only in Spanish, which made things more difficult for non-Spanish speakers.

I would give this place many more stars if I could. A big group of us arrived on Sunday at 6:30pm, they close at 7pm. We were treated so well and the food! Just wow! The guacamole was probably the best I’ve ever had. You can always measure a Mexican restaurant by their guacamole! So of course, everything else they served was delicious.
