I choose Toyama based on the high number of 5 star reviews.. To me looks like people in Tampico don't know much about Ramen or they went just to eat rolls the same as for any other asian food restaurant.
It seems that as the demand for Ramen has been rising up, they decided to include it on their menu and say "what could be the difficulty on that" ... Sorry guys but your Ramen is far from good and even farther from perfect.
First. You can't say that from the only three Ramen on your menu, only have one available option... for God sake.
Ended up ordering the Beef option ( the only available ) to go and Gyozas.
When at home, my surprise was that the beef meat wasn't exactly like other beef Ramen I tasted at other places, the broth was missing something... let's call it flavor and the meat taste was intense in a bad way, more like frozen meat.. I'm kind of ok with the size ( have to say that at other places, sizes were a bit bigger ) and lastly the Gyozas taste, got the same impression of that meat flavor... A bit unpleasant.
My recommendation, Toyama guys, please invest less money on a fancy place at a good location ( parking is kinda hard too ) and you better get quality ingredients and inventory so all of your menu items be available all the time.
There's plenty of japanese rolls restaurants already, if you name your place "Sushi Concept" make sure to have...

The fish quality is outstanding and far beyond what I can get in many places at this price point. The service is quick and the staff are friendly and helpful.
The food itself is more balanced towards the Mexican palate. That is what makes this place so interesting. The citrus forward rolls and use of chile are really delicious and take traditional dishes in new directions. I think the tempura could be crisper, but the Tampico roll and butter fish pieces...
