El Negrito Ahumado. Don Juanito — Restaurant in Temozón

We stopped here on the way back from Ek Balam, and the food was good. We ordered a platter with a selection of meats that came with fresh tortillas and a little bit of greenery.

While it tasted nice, we would have preferred to get slightly more vegetables, as the salty meat did get a little overwhelming towards the end of the meal.

Our waiter was very kind and serviceminded - and we wouldn't mind eating here again, should we get the chance.

Despite the language barrier, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. I remember remarking to my fiancée how clean and pleasant the dining area was, much more comfortable than the average side-of-the-road lunch stop.

The set menu item of a plate of smoked meats, black bean soup, and tortilla chips with pico de gallo and salsa was only 200 pesos for two people and well worth it.

Unfortunately the worst experience with restaurant in Mexico. We can't speak Spanish but we can speak only few words and every time we could comunicate with people but in this restaurant they was unfriendly to us.
