McDonald's — Restaurant in Veracruz

McDonald's has priced itself out of the Mexican market. Worse, it has encouraged Mexican competitors to up their prices as well, with much the same result for them. Everyone in the country knows the price of ground beef and bread and toppings and other inputs - and they know when they are being gouged for over-hyped substandard food. There is no justification for US prices or even higher at McDonald's in Mexico. None. That and Trump's animosity towards Mexico have left most McDonald's outlets in the country virtually empty whereas just a few years ago they were booming - in the middle of COVID no less.

That said, the staff at this location were very helpful and the food was prepared and delivered with care.

The Mexican Special breakfast was quite good - by why it is 127 pesos at this location and only 84 pesos in Cancun is a mystery to me. It's not like Cordobans are flush with cash - and tourism is almost non-existent.
