A hidden gem! This place is easy to miss as the only way to access it is from the highway into Progreso (if you’re leaving Progreso you need to take the Flamboyanes exit and get on the inbound side of the highway) and even driving in there’s no sign for the turnoff. But it’s definitely worth the effort of finding it. They give the classic starters before your meal (beets, beans, etc) and the food is great. Both the boquinete and mero were fresh and delicious (boquinete is a thicker white meat, mero has a bit more flavor/seafood taste) and the shrimp ceviche was perfect. Try anything in the salsa remos, it was fantastic!

Just outside the Puerto Progresso Remos has been a haven for us. The food is lovely although no more free botanas around here. We love the pesca, Camerons and the fried bananas. The breezy location has seen more traffic noise than prior years but the Rio is always lovely.

Server very attentive and prompt to offer drinks and appetizers, it was 4 adults 1 teen and the bill was $1,800.00 ($102.09 usd) 1 regular item and 1 drink p/person (1 beer 1 mojito 2 sodas) Place was empty (it was around 3pm) 1 more family arrived an hour after. I consider this place...
