Nice white sand, warm, shallow water, with many restaurants just a few steps away. They even bring your food on the beach if you so desire, but beware of inflated food and drinks costs and a "beach fee" that will set you back hundreds of pesos. One thing to note, which I haven't seen before, is access for people with disabilities. Read moreGreat beach on the Northern coast of Yucatán. There is beach for days here! The escape zone for Meridians from the capitol city and a somewhat bustling Cruise Port. The Twin Bridges is a big architectural feat to marvel at. Food and shops for all levels of society. 5 star dining and Cocina Económicas interlaced in a wonderful and rich beach experience. The Eastside of the bridge is commercial and the Westside of the bridge is self service.... Plenty of space to find yourself or loose a loved one... 😉...
Read moreThe vendors can be somewhat aggressive which makes it difficult to walk peacefully. The restaurants set up umbrellas along the beach and charge excessive prices for use.
Beware - Some restaurants upcharge the food and drink prices if you order from the beach. We were charged more than double for a margarita when we ordered it from the beach which was less than 20 feet away from the restaurant. This was not explained in advance.
