Jeraffe — Restaurant in Centru Sector

Why this restaurant is #1 on TripAdvisor for Chisinau is beyond me. The location is in a worn-out, socialist prefabricated building from the 1970s, the furnishings are a bit outdated (round glass tables were last used in the catering trade in the 1980s). Why the restaurant is called Jeraffe of all things is not clear to the visitor, despite some African artefacts. The service was good, the explanations (in English) very helpful. The wine advice (there is also wine by the glass although it is not on the menu) by Dumitru was ideal. The starter salad was very fresh, but blackened olives - for health reasons alone - have no place on a plate, let alone in a top restaurant. The sushi had (West) European quality. Conclusion: high-quality food, good service, appealing presentation of the dishes! 'Fusion' by the way can mean anything and nothing at the same time. I will like to say that this is the best sushi restaurant what I have been, not even in UK you will find the same quality restaurant. The food was delicious and the way how the staff was working there blow my mind, I was thinking that this restaurant is too posh for me. The food was really nice and delicious. But the waiter(female) that served us on 17.03.2023 was very rude, I have not seen this type of customer service in my life. My husband did not finish his food completely, she picked up the plate and then she asked if he is done, who does that??? first, you have to ask if the customer finished the food and then take the plate. A simple rule of being polite. Then when we were about to pay I asked if we could use the voucher I had as a gift from a friend, and she rolled her eyes.
