The Bull Hot Pot Restaurant — Restaurant in Ulaanbaatar

Very fancy restaurant, traditional hot pot and some additional options like rice, mini meat hamburgers etc. I don't particularly like this type of kitchen, but I do think the food was nice. However not giving it higher rating because of the services. I had to ask 4 times to have 2 waters until finally they brought it. Multiple times it was hard to call the waiter, maybe they were too busy, or the headphones on their ears were interfering, I don't know. The restaurant was definitely not full on a Wednesday lunch, so maybe they were understaffed. We did have lunch with Mongolian folks so there was no language barrier, I don't think the reason was that the waiters did not understand us well enough because we are not Mongolians. They did speak little...

We had to wait an hour for a table—my fault for not reserving in advance. Even after being seated, it took another 30 mins for the food to arrive. The tofu, vegetables, and broth were good—especially the vegetables, which were fresh and flavorful.

But the Mongolian Beef (35,000T) was extremely disappointing. The texture was awful—like paper melting in ur mouth. It felt like something had gone wrong during the freezing or thawing process? I’ve never had beef that bad beef before.

Would I return for the refreshing veggies? Yes. But for that kind of beef?...
