Mediteran I National cuisine restaurant — Restaurant in Bar

Incredible family restaurant in the heart of the town Bar, Montenegro. Fresh seafood, authentic Balkan cuisine (e.g. prominent dish cevapi), friendly atmosphere and service. Me and my husband stayed in Bar 7 days. Imagine, we went to “Mediterran” for 4 dinners after accidentally having discovered this hidden gem of local Food and Beverage sector. We are very picky eaters (I am a tour guide in Rome, and my husband is from famous for its cuisine Italian region Puglia). We found quality of seafood in Mediterran very high, all the dishes were freshly cooked and served with abundance of vegetables and nice seasonings. We ordered a seafood platter - shrimp, squid and MUSCLE (you'll understand why I emphasized this word below). I don't know what it is about this place that has so many positive reviews, everything tasted OKAY, the shrimp were just not cleaned of dirt inside. There were a few pieces of very greasy fries, and the whole dish was very greasy (you can see in the photo that everything is swimming in fat), which is not normal for seafood, but it is.

My girlfriend ate everything except the mussels, so I ate them all. And I was poisoned!!! The mussels were either not fresh, or unwashed, or just not cooked properly!!! This is a terrible impression of you as a restaurant. Think twice if you should go here, so you don't ruin part of your vacation...

I do not recommend. It seems like the rating is rigged... All the dishes we ordered were not tasty: the rice was undercooked, half-raw grilled vegetables and grilled squid fried in a pan and covered with oil The cevapcici did not match the picture and the waiter's description (there were no vegetables, pita...only cevapcici, a bunch of onions, ketchup and 12 French fries). Yes I counted! Chicken in batter is oversalted Grilled vegetables were also fried in a pan and half of them were inedible, burnt to a black color

Purely a place for tourists, service is not nice, they forgot about rice, although we expected a delicious family...
