We had breakfast at Konoba Vila Marija every day during our 5-day stay in the area, as it was the partner restaurant for our accommodation at Apartments Popović, just a short 2-minute walk away.
While the breakfast menu didn't seem to offer any specifically vegan options, we found plenty of delicious ovo lacto vegetarian choices. Over the course of our stay, we tried the French toast, muesli, Pasta and stuffed omelette — all of which were absolutely delicious. I also requested a plain omelette on one of the days, and they were happy to accommodate that.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant offers outdoor seating right by the sea, with a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and good music playing in the background.
The combination of great food, friendly service, and beautiful seaside views made our daily breakfasts something to look forward to. We had a wonderful experience here and would totally...
Read moreWe did not make reservations so when we arrived at about 7.30 it was a bit of good luck that we needed. A lot of already reserved tables but lady Luck was on our side and our waiter, Stephan, got us a seaside table straight away. Magnificent views over the bay of Kotor and the surrounding mountains at about 1m away from the salty water. Great! Stephan helped is out with choosing the most recommended dishes of the day. Meat, fish, seashells... Take your pick. Ik got the the calamare as you can see in the picture attached. Other dishes we ordered: spaghetti bolognese, prawns and pasta vongole. Only happy faces and 'yumyums' at our table. Desert? Anyone? YES. The 4 of us shared a slice of chocolate-orange cake and cheesecake with forestfruit. Lovely. Only empty plates returned tot the kitchen. Double espresso and that was that. Lovely evening, great service from Stephan, tasty food......
Read moreWe stopped by here for dinner on our last day in Kotor, and had a very hearty and satisfying meal. the location of the konoba was amazing. We had a table right by the edge of the sea.
We were there quite late, and managed to get a parking space right in front of the konoba. The waiter who attended to us was very professional although he looked overwhelmed by having to serve so many tables.
We had a most delicious squid starter (photos attached), steak pasta and another beef dish (can't remember the name). All were very deliciously cooked and well presented. the atmosphere was very romantic with the lights of buildings over the Bay of Kotor. The local wine we had was amazing too.
All in all, we enjoyed our dinner...
