Restaurant Review: Amsterdam Luxury Agadir (Morocco)
Situated in the vibrant city of Agadir, Morocco, Amsterdam Luxury Agadir offers a unique dining experience that combines the best of Dutch and Moroccan flavors. During my recent visit to this restaurant, I was enthralled by the diverse menu and the harmonious fusion of ingredients and spices.
To begin my culinary journey, I opted for the Shrimp Wheat Salad. This refreshing appetizer was a delightful combination of plump and succulent shrimp, mixed with nutty and wholesome wheat grains. The salad was vibrant and bursting with flavors, thanks to the addition of fresh herbs and a zesty dressing. The dish showcased a perfect balance between the sweetness of the shrimp and the earthy notes of the wheat.
Next, I indulged in the Chili Cheese Nuggets. These bite-sized treats were crispy on the outside and oozing with melted cheese and a hint of spicy kick. The combination of flavors was simply irresistible, and the contrasting textures made for an enjoyable eating experience. The dish was complemented by a tangy dipping sauce, adding an extra layer of flavor to each mouthful.
For the main course, I opted for the Orange Asian Chicken. This dish featured tender pieces of chicken glazed in a tangy and aromatic orange sauce, with subtle Asian influences. The chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and infused with the delightful flavors of the sauce. The accompanying side dish of mixed vegetables, which included a colorful array of fresh produce, added a refreshing and healthy touch to the meal.
To round off my dining experience, I savored the Poffertjes with Speculoos for dessert. Poffertjes, traditional Dutch mini pancakes, were served warm and fluffy, drizzled with a luscious speculoos sauce. The combination of the delicate pancakes and the sweet, spiced speculoos created a heavenly dessert that was both comforting and indulgent. It was the perfect ending to a remarkable meal.
The ambiance at Amsterdam Luxury Agadir was enchanting. The restaurant's Moroccan-inspired decor, warm lighting, and comfortable seating created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The attentive and friendly staff members added to the overall dining experience, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of.
In conclusion, Amsterdam Luxury Agadir in Morocco is a hidden gem that offers a delightful blend of Dutch and Moroccan cuisine. With dishes like the Shrimp Wheat Salad, Chili Cheese Nuggets, Orange Asian Chicken, Side Dish Mixed Vegetables, and Poffertjes with Speculoos, the menu showcases a harmonious fusion of flavors and textures. The charming ambiance and impeccable service make it an ideal choice for a memorable dining experience in Agadir. I highly recommend a visit to Amsterdam Luxury Agadir to savor the unique culinary delights it...
Read moreWe ordered 3 steaks, 1 pasta bolognese, 1 salmon and 1 white fish.
The steak is absolutely bonkers BAD. I am telling you, do NOT believe the other reviews. I’ve eaten MANY steaks in my life and have made many more myself. We’ve communicated the rarity levels of the steaks, and it seems like the chef literally ignored it all and just made whatever. No difference between any of our colours - in the same steak you’ll see rare to well done and mostly well done. The steak has NOT been seared, has NOT got any pepper/salt prep - not that we’ve noticed anyway. The steak had no taste and has definitely not been prepared with any butter, let alone tastemakers like thyme, or garlic. The steaks furthermore were difficult to cut and bite through. Absolutely horrendous and not worth paying that much. In my review I included advice: please do use butter, sear it, thicker steaks with smaller surface area would be better, add garlic and thyme, and actuallyuse pepper and salt beforehand.
The salmon was also so very dry, when you open it up, no liquid comes out. Chewing through it felt like chewing gum or karton. Unedible and we sent it back unfortunately.
The one OK thing (7/10) was the pasta bolognese and the cocktail that we ordered. The milkshake was too artificial.
Truly, seating is nice and the service was good, but the food ruins it. It had a lot of potential and this feedback is not just for future customers—especially actually for the chefs of the restaurant! Because I truly want them to be successful. Until then, the quality is definitely not where it should be, by a hundred miles.
Edit: looking at the response of the owner, no feedback on the content was given. In terms of why I did not say anything at the moment, is because it wasn't worth it at that moment. (1) They are not changing anything to the dish upon our feedback (2) It would take too much time to wait again for new food (3) I am at that point just going to try to finish whatever we have, but that does not mean we liked it. It's because we are Muslim that we do not throw everything out. That would be a complete waste.
Accusing me of lies is of course bonkers. You can take a look at the picture and see for yourself. Also - we actually did tip, so there you have yourself actually lying. Again, I have not a single reason to leave a fake review (see my other reviews). There's nothing to earn from my side and I always try to be as balanced (see for example my above pasta comment) as humanly possible. So, again, I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone who can see themselves in level of standard that I'd like to have...
