OMG DO NOT DISMISS THE WAITER HE IS NOT THE PROBLEM. YOUR PRICES ARE THE PROBLEM.

They completely took advantage of us -- they charged us 206dh (€20) for cake and tea (which we didn't order). At first I felt bad writing this review because it is so scathing, but as I wrote my sense of injustice intensified fuelled by the absolute cheek of spending €20 on an average cake. The view is lovely, the chicken tagine was lovely but that is way too much for a cake. Again, OWNERS LEAVE THE WAITER ALONE.

It was my partner's 30th birthday celebration. I wanted to get him dinner and surprise him with dessert with some candles I had brought from home. THE WAITER WAS HELPFUL.

I asked for a small tagine, I was pressured to get a medium one. When they came, my tagine (really delicious to be fair) was way more than I could eat and my partners fish tagine was severely burnt. He tried to send it back (something he has never done in our 9 years of being together) and the waiter said 'no it is suppose to be that way'. So already not a great start but THE FOOD TASTED GOOD IN THE END.

Then I asked if I could get a cake from the menu which was only 10dh (less than €1) and asked if they could add my candles to it. Suddenly he brings out a strobing firework that could knock out an epileptic from 50 miles away and a chocolate cake (looked like a Colin the Caterpillar cake but half the size) with some tea.

Here's the bit that plays in my mind rent free.

Chicken tagine is 70dh and the fish is 80dh so 150dh for food. The Sprite is 12dh each, adding in the 10dh cake, so we expected the total to be 184dh. This is fair enough. We planned on adding a 16dh tip for the fire show still burning in our retinas taking our total to 200dh. But somehow, the total was 390dh.

Obviously I was pretty confused. Luckily the chap inside enlightened me with his infinite wisdom. They charged us 206dh for the cake, the firework and the tea (which we did NOT order). I was left shocked. It ruined his birthday meal- the value was not there at all.

Owners, let me ask you directly, would you EVER charge a local - or anyone you vaguely respected - 206DH FOR A CAKE? No, because that is ridiculous. And if that is the "real" price (I bet you anything it is a tourist special price), that is a lot of money! You should have informed me of the price before you brought it out. AGAIN -- THE WAITER DIDN'T MAKE THE PRICE. WHOEVER MADE THE PRICE FOR THE CAKE SHOULDN'T HAVE. LEAVE THE WAITER ALONE!

If anyone has made it this far into my review, let me tell you, this isn't my first time in Morocco. We've stayed here multiple times (funnily enough, usually our birthday!). This is however, the first time I've had someone take the mick this much. The last birthday we spent here, I did not spend 206dh on a cake, the restaurant in Taghazout (highly recommend, right on the water) gave it to us for free since we were eating and drinking there. And guess what happened? We ate there almost every night as a result.

NO ISSUE WITH THE WAITER -- THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE VIEW WAS GOOD BUT THE PRICE WAS CRAZY. IT WAS LIKE THEY SAW WE WERE NOT LOCAL AND...

Nice and simple restaurant directly on the sea side on the rocks between two beaches , with friendly service and friendly waiter. Beautiful view to the sea and sunset. Behind the restaurant huge sand place for car parking. Between surfer huts. Food is good. Not yet verry commercial place with local marokkane people and tourists from elsewhere. Just two things a bit annoying, you must wait for the waiter until he comes, but on the other gad not intrusive. And the marrokane musicians coming along are a bit annoying if you don't like this kind of music, but this is...

This restaurant is an absolute disaster! The fries we ordered were extremely soggy and inedible – nowhere near crispy. The rest of the meal was also of poor quality, especially the meat was disgusting. And we were charged 260 dirhams for this terrible food – already an unreasonably high price!

But it gets worse: the staff tried to scam us by demanding 350 dirhams instead. This was downright outrageous and highly unprofessional.

I strongly advise against eating here. Terrible food, dishonest service, and completely overpriced – save yourself the...

The food was fantastic. We had the fried seafood. It was cooked perfectly. There was obviously a language barrier as we're in Morocco and we don't speak Arabic, but we managed to communicate really well using hand gestures and pointing at pictures. Friendly smiley staff, brilliant views. We ate as we watched the sunset over the ocean. Service was slow even for drinks which I've worked out is probably just the Moroccan way? Just chill more. Worth the wait for sure.
