I ordered a caramel macchiato. I got a caramel macchiato. But I noticed my receipt said “Toffee Nut Latte”. I checked the prices and a macchiato costs 0.50 cents less than the toffee nut I was charged for. I pointed it out to the staff member and he tried to explain it away saying something completely illogical about me getting a more expensive drink because they didn’t have my drink. I said that’s fine but I wasn’t told that was the case so I’d like my refund. He agreed and gave me the money. I then noticed my friend who had ordered a capp and an americano had been charged for two other drinks which totalled over 1€ more. My friend went up and got a similar excuse but eventually got his refund. I went up and asked to speak to his manager. The manager was there and I explained what happened to me. At first the manager supported his staff member and tried to reiterate the excuse that I’d first heard that I was given a more expensive because they didn’t have the ingredients for my drink. I pointed out that the same had happened to my friend who’s only ingredients were coffee, milk and water at which point they ran out of excuses. I sat down to drink my coffee and a moment later the manager came over. He apologised about everything and thanked me for telling him and said he will be speaking to his staff member who is apparently new. He was polite, patient and very...
Read moreWell, what a marvellous experience that was. I asked slowly, clearly, and in actual English for a hot lactose-free cappuccino. What I received, after the waitress finally tore herself away from her riveting gossip session, was an iced caramel macchiato with full-fat milk. Brilliant. Exactly what I didn’t ask for. When I pointed this out, she looked me dead in the eye and insisted I’d said nothing at all. Oh yes, of course I must have dreamt the entire order while standing at the counter like a lemon. And let’s be clear, this isn’t even the first time. Time and again, I ask for lactose-free milk, and what do I get? Full-fat, every blasted time. It’s not just sloppy, it’s dangerous. So there we are: nearly poisoned by incompetence, patronised by someone who couldn’t care less, and charged for the privilege. First-class service if you’re running a comedy sketch show. For an actual café in an international airport? An...
Read moreStarbucks has always been my favorite coffee brand. Whichever city I go, I always visit the Starbucks there. HOWEVER, the one in Marrakesh airport really broke my heart.
The staff here was really rude. When me and my friend ready to order, he just sat there and played his phone, seemed not going to order. And when he finally ordered for us, his attitude was like we owed him 1 billion dollars. Really bad experience. If I could give 0 star to this Starbucks in google map, I would do that. And after our observation, we founded out that he only treated us differently, maybe just because we’re Asian.
The staff’s name is Ahmed, I hope next time he could treat...
