Campo das Acácias — Restaurant in Maputo

I was blown away by the hospitality of Campo das Acacias!

Let's start at the beginning.

Starters :

I was amazed that these 2 ingredients worked together so well, the ingredients being prawns and honey. I ordered black samoosas with prawns and honey. My very first time seeing this invention and it did not disappoint!

Mains:

Grilled chicken breast with salad. Tomahawk 400g with fries. Both these meals were seasoned to perfection. Absolutely juicy and flavourful.

Desserts:

Acacias surprise. Boy oh boy was this a surprise! Every bite was filled with an explosion of chocolate and cream. The sponge was baked to perfection and the layer of cream and chocolate was such a generous amount.

I included a picture of my condiments because I always order mayo as an extra and I was pleasantly surprised that this was offered as a normal condiment.

The service was brilliant - so much attention to detail. The view was spectacular & that's at no extra cost 😉.

I visited here twice. Once on a quiet weekday, once on a Sunday afternoon. Very slow service both times. (Sunday afternoon) It took more than an hour to see the menu today, and more than a total of two hours to receive the food. A table ordered later than us finishes the food. Amazing experience, the food was excellent and the staff was nice and helpful. We had some starters, the breaded shrimps and salmon tartar very recomendable. For mains we had the crayfish risotto, lamb chops and rump. We tried for desserts the Bebinca (dessert that is fusion of Indian and Portuguese cuisine) which was very nice, and the tiramisu (I’m not a fan but this one was very good).
