Golden Sea Restaurant & Pub — Restaurant in Maputo

On a normal saturday afternoon, anything we asked from menu was not available. They kept asking us to choose a different item from menu, so that we end up ordering the item that they had. Of the various restaurants who focus on taste. I don't think this restaurant's focus is on taste. Its more about a place to enjoy music with huge group of friends. The place is perfect for team dinners during end of year. Not sure if the bartender knows what each cocktail means, but I guess they need to have a description in their menu, for themselves to know what we are ordering. Since you can order the same cocktail twice and it will be totally different two times. Largely they need to revisit their menu card and reduce it to the items that they are comfortable with. The restaurant deserves a 5 star, but their faulty menu makes them...

In short, probably one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long while.

I expected this place to be close to my ideal restaurant option. Sadly, this service is appalling - we had to wait an hour for our first course to arrive, 20 minutes for it to be cleared after we'd finished eating, as well as a constant struggle to catch anyone's attention.

50% of the food we had ordered ( 5 of us) had food served which was under cooked - dangerous with fish - and needed to be sent back. Chips were also returned as they were undercooked - what restaurant can't cook chips!?

Food is excellent. Enough parking available to make it worth the visit. Waiter bought us any old drink after asking for something that was on the menu.
