O Farol — Restaurant in Maputo

This restaurant is an absolute gem in Catembe. It feels out of place because it is so inviting and comfortable; and also tastefully decorated in keeping with the wonderful view that it offers of the capital, Maputo. The beach is literally down a set of steps and you're there, like your own private area. There are two clear areas, one for eating with set tables and one other for replacing with loungers for you to relax on and it's just you and the beach. Plenty of waiters and the owners seen to be proud of their business ensuring customer satisfaction. It serves the freshest seafood and uses fresh ingredients for its dishes. A great place to sit by the sea and admire the view and the city of Maputo in the background. Really awesome place, o Farol is one of those iconic ones in Maputo.

Although it’s on another city (Katembe), it’s quite worth the drive there, you get to see a beautiful view of the city of Maputo, from the ocean, as well as the bridge.

You can also take a nice walk on the beach and explore the sand, water and more.
