Salt is certainly situated as one of Maputo's standout establishments. The layout and design is very modern and aesthetically pleasing, however lacks somewhat in terms of Atmosphere, the restaurants tables are situated relatively close together and this led to every conversation in the immediate vicinity being easily heard. In terms of the food... the Shrimp Blast was sensational while the fried Aranccini was reasonably enjoyable. Our main courses were slightly underwhelming relative to our expectations and the cost associated with them, but they were nonetheless good. The Tiramisu was fantastic. In terms of service... this is where Salt stood out. Our waiter was dilligent, accomodating, checked on us regularly without overdoing it and was very affable. Definitely and by far the best Service We have experienced in Maputo up to this point.

I ordered a salmon pizza, fattoush, shrimp and crème brûlée for dessert. The food was average…not very good, not very bad either. The fattoush was the best part of the whole meal. My complain is about the pizza. When I ordered the pizza I was expecting to get the salmon pizza I saw on their instagram page. When the manager came and ask me and my friend if we were happy with the food, I told him about how thin, the salmon slices actually were. You can almost see through it. And he said “the pizza you saw on our instagram is just for the picture, we put that much salmon for the picture”. I was so disappointed by that answer.
