Toh Lim Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Yangon

I tried to write a review when I'm in Yangon but the Google Review in Yangon was given me a lot of problem. No matter how I'm still not able to post it.

Toh Lim in Yangon is a High Class Restaurant and is inside LOTTO Hotel. It looks like is cater mainly for Korean because when I'm there. I only saw Korean.

The security is tight. The security guard use metal detector to sweep under my car.

Decoration is very simple. Is at the 14th floor of the hotel and over look the INYA lake. Only here then you can have a vista of the lake. The lake looks good here but not on ground level.

My first order was braised Bean Curd with minced pork. It cost US$13. I thought it was using Myanmar Bean Curd but turn out to be normal Chinese Bean Curd but they fried each small bean curd with fresh minced tender pork.

My 2nd order was Chicken Congee at US$7. The Congee was well boiled and top with fresh chicken fillet. There were three small plates of salt egg, century egg and spring onion for me to add into the congee to create my own taste.

My third order was steamed Black Bean Pork Spare Rib at US$6. The rib was fresh and the chief adjusted the taste just nice not like cantonese restaurant over do it.

Food taste was great in this restaurant but I just don't like the prices in the menu were in US dollar. Looks like the restaurant have no respect...

Food was pretty good, the view and the room was gorgeous. Toilet is super clean as usual. BUT the receptionist at the restaurant whose name starts with aye was extremely rude. We had a reservation and she kept insisting we did not make a reservation. After much arguments and many phone calls, she finally acknowledged our reservation. The food, service and atmosphere are the best of Chinese restaurants in Yangon. The service goes above and beyond, even going as far to store our cakes for us.
