This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Iceland. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and we were especially impressed when they split our food into two separate plates/bowls. It’s the little details like this that make a big difference. The presentation of each dish was beautiful, and it was clear that the restaurant takes great pride in both its food and service.

The quality of the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable—especially considering the generous portion sizes. I hope their exceptional service remains consistent in the future.

We started with a delicious tomato soup, which was served in two bowls, allowing us to enjoy it together. The accompanying bread was also fantastic—fresh and flavorful. For the main course, we had baked cod, which was beautifully prepared and again served in two separate plates, ensuring that both of us could enjoy it comfortably. It was perfectly cooked and delicious.

Finally, we finished with rice pudding for dessert, which was a delightful and comforting end to the meal.

What stood out the most was that, in a country where many restaurants are pricey with smaller portions, this place offered both great value and a truly satisfying dining experience....

Not too many restaurants were open in the area and later on a Friday night. After the host determined we did not have a reservation, we were seated. After a full day of whale watching and hiking, we were so thankful to find a nice place to eat. I'm very happy I asked our server a few questions about my choice, as she helped me decide. The food came quickly and beautifully presented. The vegetables in the chicken salad were delicious, as was the dressing and seeds. It really didn't need the chicken, and may I mention for Americans dining here, it's a salad with chicken, not our traditional chicken salad (mixture with mayo). The portion of sweet potato fries was huge and they were delicious. The soup was not hot enough and had a green oil or something decoratively placed along with toasted seeds that tasted a bit burnt, so the soup was not the traditional tomato soup we expected. Carolina's service was top-notch, and we could see she worked several areas and was very pleasant and efficient. We would definitely dine here again if...

Horrible Experience. The waiter served the beef to my fd who ordered lamb, mixed with my order. Not finding out only after my fd has cut the meat and ate a bite. He came and exchanged the beef and put the same used beef dish on me!!! Cannot accept this service level in any places. We rejected the dish and asked to serve again, the waiter gave me an innocent look and no single apology is heard. And turned out the lamb is too raw and asked to recook again. And overall the main dishes portion is like a starter. The waiter made terrible mistake again when checking the bill, he inserted a wrong amount in the credit card machine which was 2000 isk more! lucky that my fd checked her bill before paying and point out the mistake. we had a terrible night and wont...

We had dinner here one night and the hotel guest breakfast on two occasions. I would put this restaurant at the higher end for cost. That being said the meals were as expected, tasty smaller portions with more creativity put into the tastes and textures. The sauces in the Arctic Char dish I ordered paired nicely. The meal was served over about 2.5 hours so no rushing. The breakfasts I would rank at the top of hotel breakfast in Iceland. There was the largest selection to date. Notable were eggs that didn’t taste powdered, crispy back, delicious salmon lox, skyr, hash browns, fruits, sliced deli meats and more. I was happy to eat dinner once here and very pleased with the breakfast from the hotel.

Amazing Dining Experience - Exceeded Expectations We dined at this restaurant during our stay, and it was way above my expectations. We started with their geothermal-baked bread, duck salad, beetroot salad, and salmon — each dish was superb, with incredible flavors. For the main course, we had the crusted baked cod, which was just as impressive. Even though we were quite full, we couldn’t resist trying dessert, and the white chocolate mousse was my favorite! Special mention to Sofia, who was attentive, kind, and always smiling. She truly added to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place!
