Wakecup Coffee – A Hidden Gem in Biratnagar
Recently transferred to Biratnagar from India on a work assignment, I stumbled upon Wakecup Coffee while roaming around the local market — and what a pleasant surprise it was!
Being a coffee enthusiast, I never miss a chance to try different varieties wherever I go. At Wakecup, the coffee was not just good — it was perfectly refreshing. There’s something about the taste that felt just right. I also tried items from their food menu, and everything was delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
While enjoying my cup, I came across a brochure in the shop and got to know about the owner, Mr. Abhinayak Malla. His story is deeply inspiring — from starting a business in his hometown to his dedication to social causes like generating employment and fighting child labour. The initiative to share 10% of profits with coffee farmers truly reflects a business built on values and community care.
If time permits, I’d love to join their trainee program (want to open a coffee shop after retirement 😉) but even if I can't, I’ll definitely keep coming back. Wakecup Coffee isn’t just a coffee shop — it’s an experience worth revisiting. Wishing the team...
Read moreI’ve visited Wakecup Cafe multiple times during my stay in Biratnagar, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. The location is very convenient, situated right in the center of the city, making it easily accessible.
The café offers both indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor area is air-conditioned, which is a huge plus, especially in the hot weather. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, ideal for casual hangouts or even business meetings.
A special mention to the amazing team—Prasana Wagle, Sheetal, and Alish. Their service is excellent, always attentive and professional. I’d like to particularly appreciate Prasana, who consistently serves with a warm smile and outstanding hospitality, making every guest feel valued.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Biratnagar. I will definitely return on my next visit. Wakecup Cafe continues to set a great standard for quality service and a...
Read moreFirst visit and they were not there to take our order even after calling out, delayed response. Momos were good but i have had better tasting momos at a lower price. So considering the price, it was not satisfactory at all. Cheese pizza was bad, i was afraid i would break my teeth and the taste was also nothing to write home about . So to sum it up, all style and no substance.
Update: Second Visit and still mixed review, Jhol Chicken Momo was good, Mojhito had good flavor but they forgot to add ice and it became warm soon so back to zero. The Rainbow Mojhito drink was pretty bad just dense sweet syruppy artificial flavor. Corndog was good and cappucinno was also decent. But i must say the ordering system is...
