Cafe De Sheetalpati — Restaurant in Tansen

The origin & the home of chain of Nanglo & Bakery café, looked typical Nepali styled house with Corn, Garlick & Red chili hanging from attic looked beautiful. We visited a lot of times in different periods & loved all dishes especially Newari Khaja Set with local popular dish called Chukauni. & Steamed chicken MOMO. Sitting outside in garden was exciting as well as upstairs sitting in Nepali style was good too. Bakery items on sale outside looked good & were in plenty of varieties. In recent few visits, we felt food quality has detoriated & felt bad about it. We hope concerned authorities will take needful steps to maintain quality...

From the recommendation of Lonely Planet we found our way to this restaurant. Great location, nice ambience. We can imagine how busy this place is when there is live music going on. But that is about it. The Samay Baji was sparse and untasty. Since when is Chukawoni ice cold? Since the chef changed, a local told us later. There we've got the answer. Unfortunately we can't recommend this place for having food - drinks and a nice time to chill might...

I was with group of friends for lunch on the way to Pokhara from Lumbini I visited before also, It's perfect place in Tansen Bazar 5 km. Inside from Pokhara bhairahava road but it's really superb choice to enjoy here food all kind of. Highly recommended Nanglo West in Tansen near to Tansen durbar museum .
