Oevers — Restaurant in Aalsmeer

We went in Oevers last Saturday with group of friends but unfortunately we had a nightmare experience how they unproper treat us!We booked for 5 person and we requested if it is possible to sit next to the windows so that we can enjoy the spectacular view and they agreed that yes that’s no problem they will do that but it didn’t happened instead they put as in the corner next to the bar and not even give as chance to choose the table (seeing that the restaurant is empty )or ask if that table is fine with us (like normal do in other restaurant)but no it’s just suffocated the table where they put us so me & friends ask if we can transfer in other table since it’s empty but the man is too rude ,sounds yelling and saying that that’s is only table available for 5 person because of corona protocol (we clearly understood it ofcourse)but the man how he saying it is not it should be so really weird so we really feel intimidate with that kind of behavior so we decided just to go and find another restaurant and luckily end up with nice restaurant with...

Poor Customer Service, We are really disappointed knowing that we made the reservation and clearly stated our preferences. From the time we arrived, the staff assisted Us wasn't really on a welcoming mood, no single smile like he's having a very bad day. We questioned the place assigned to us because we're expecting near the window as per the reservation and the staff who received the call approved it, but the staff assisted Us rudely disapproved it without proper explanation. We absolutely understand the current situation and rule about coronovirus, but the way we r being treated by the staff was ridiculously beyond and offensively impolite to the point that he's threatening us that if we still have some concern/question then the door is open, which we never experience to other restaurants and even fast food chains. F&B business is not only about food and beverages but for the customer to experience being served, which we badly experience here and never to recommend...

Service was top, atmosphere also good. Restaurant is right at the marina with small boats in front of the window. Food was quality wise of a pretty high standard but everything comes in small portions. To small! Example: even a cup of mint tea is as small as a normal cappuccino were a very acceptable standard is a big glass with some honey on the side. It's the same effort with a normal volume of hot water.
