Doner & Pizza Imperium — Restaurant in Amsterdam

It was a nice snack, but I wouldn’t call it a full meal , the portion just wasn’t enough. The crust was extremely thin, even thinner than traditional Italian pizza. The pizza sauce tasted more like plain tomato paste than a flavorful base, which really took away from the overall taste.

The toppings were good, fresh and nicely balanced, though there was definitely room to be more generous.

With big competitors like Domino’s and Pizza Hut around, I expected more in terms of value, quality, and service. That said, it was still a pleasant experience, just not quite at the level...

Bad hygiene! The staff works without gloves, and they often come in direct contact with the food you're about to eat. I saw one of the staff members change one of the containers from which they put tomatoes in Donner. The employee pulled out a new container full of tomatoes, but they also drained the leftover tomatoes from the previous container using their bare hands, then they added the now hand drained remaining tomatoes on top of the new tomato batch. Just moved to this new neighborhood, not too many eating out options. I tried this place and the experience was disappointing. The place has a strange smell and the food quality is low standard. The staff are friendly but that's not enough. I won't be coming back anytime soon. The area needs a more upscale food offering, something better, more classy. Cheap food is not good for the...
