La Banca Wijnstudio - Prosciutteria — Restaurant in Arnhem

We had a quiet weekend on foot in the heart of Arnhem. Looking to round off the perfect day with a nice meal, we found La Banca! Charming is just the start. We were greeted by the proprietor, and promptly seated at the table prepared for our group. The care and attention to Italiano Autentico was not lost on us. The menu was appropriately sized for an intimate experience with portions that met our taste and left plenty of room for dessert (antipasto included!) The meal was prepared and served by a professional staff who attended to the little details (thank you!). We found the cuisine flavors combined with the special curated wines to be a perfect medium that conveyed us into a relaxed setting where the conversation flowed. La Banca stond al een tijdje op ons lijstje van waar we graag wilde gaan eten. Misschien waren onze verwachtingen te hoog, het viel helaas tegen.

We gingen voor het menu: anti pasto was lekker, helaas werd ons pas net voor ontvangst uitgelegd dat het niet de anti pasti was die wij eigenlijk wilde. de gnocchi met pompoen saus was okay. De saus was heel smaakvol, de gnocchi was overkookt waarbij alles vast bleef plakken aan mijn gehemelte stoofvlees: de gegaarde groente was lekker, de palenta smaakloos, de saus van de stoofvlees heerlijk! Helaas was het stoofvlees taai, totaal niet wat je van een stoofvlees verwacht en daardoor gelijk het hele gerecht verpest. tiramisu was prima, jammer van die lepel aan slagroom op het bord, maakte het erg zwaar

Met drie personen uiteindelijk 270 euro uitgegeven. 3x menu 2 flessen wijn 3x grappa

Voor de gekregen kwaliteit en dit bedrag zijn er helaas betere Italiaanse restaurants in Arnhem te vinden. Jammer want het concept zelf is erg goed.

Edit: aparte reactie van het restaurant, een compliment is er niet door mij gegeven en de bediening heeft nog excuses aangeboden voor de antipasti vergissing. Hadden wij wat van de kwaliteit kunnen zeggen, ja, heb je daar altijd zin in? Nee. Het restaurant zegt nu feitelijk dat het aan ons is om de kwaliteit te controleren. De reactie zegt naar mijn...
