I have no idea who would give this place good reviews but if you are from anyplace in the US looking for decent Italian don't EVER go here. Chef boyardee from a can would be a better bet in my opinion. In fact one of our group suggested that the red sauce may indeed have been that brand. The restaurant only had 5 seated tables yet it took over 30 minutes to get dinners on the table. The staff argued that it's because "everything is made fresh". Highly doubtful since most of us got simple pasta and chicken dishes. Out of our group of 10 people not one person was happy with food quality or delivery time. The icing on the cake was that my wife ordered the only fish dish, salmon. The dish had such a foul smell, confirmed by at least 3 in our group that my wife wouldnt eat it and sent it back. She requested a simple bowl of salad greens as a replacement just to close out dinner and go elsewhere. When the bill came my wife questioned a charge of 20 dollars for the greens. The waiter began his response by arguing that there was nothing wrong with the salmon that had been ordered and we should be happy that we were not being charged for it. When we mentioned the long wait for dinner we were again provided the excuse that everything was fresh made and thar " other restaurants in Aruba are faster but that's because they are heating up and serving pre made and not fresh food'. We have been in Aruba 6 days, eaten at no less than 10 different restaurants and every single one of them has been a 9 of 10 or above. If I could rate this place less than 1 star, I would. Absolute horrible food and poor attitudes. I guess the folks at the Raquet Club must be held hostage to this food dumpster. Paid bill, left and went around the corner to Azar. Flat out 10. Great food, drinks and service. Don't waste time or effort on this absolute joke of a restaurant. Oh yes, and it cost us $1100.00 for the worst experience on the island that we...
Read moreI arrived at 8:30pm with a table of 8. We had a reservation and were seated right away. This was the only highlight of this evening. Our waiter arrived and took our drink and app order. We waited over twenty minutes for our drinks to arrive. When they did arrive, our red wine was in a white wine ice bath??? The waiter brought over two drinks that no one at our table ordered. He insisted that these were our drinks and we had to convince him it wasn’t. It turns out that the drinks belonged to another table. The apps were not good. One of the salad looked like a basic side salad and the tuna salad was not the color tuna should be. The decor was nice but the seating area does not have enough fans to provide a breeze. The heat and humidity and lack of fans created a very uncomfortable seating environment. After waiting over and hour and a half for food, the waiter asked me if everything was alright. I proceeded to tell him the truth. At this point, I was told that our food would be out in 8 minutes. Twenty minutes later, no food arrived. At this point, we all decided to leave because it was over two hours without any food. In an empty restaurant, despite the food having to be made fresh, 2 hours is insane. After informing the waiter of our decision to leave, a woman arrived to stress that the food is freshly made so it takes time and it would be out soon. Her approach was extremely rude. I was made to feel as if I was wrong for expressing my opinion. I don’t know who she was because she did not identify herself. Regardless, we paid our bill and left the waiter a tip. As we were leaving, we passed the kitchen and not one dish was up at the pass window. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully, they learn customer service skills. Not one drink was compted, nothing was offered to us as a reason to stay, and overall, they gave us no...
Read moreOur recent visit to Agrigento Italian Restaurant in Aruba was nothing short of exceptional. Celebrating their 2-year anniversary, the restaurant exceeded all expectations, making the evening truly memorable.
First and foremost, the seafood was remarkably fresh, showcasing the ocean’s finest treasures. Every bite was a testament to the high-quality ingredients and meticulous preparation. The pasta was a standout—exquisitely crafted and bursting with flavor. Each mouthful seemed to surpass the last, creating a symphony of tastes that left us craving more.
The ambiance of Agrigento is another highlight. The all-white decor lends an elegant and serene atmosphere, perfect for both indoor and outdoor dining. Whether you choose to sit inside or enjoy the open air, the setting is beautiful and inviting.
The drink selection is top-notch, with martinis and Sangria standing out as absolute must-tries. Each drink was crafted to perfection, complementing the exquisite food beautifully.
A special mention must go to the staff, who were the epitome of excellent service. Attentive, friendly, and professional, they enhanced the dining experience tremendously. The chef, too, deserves high praise for delivering dishes that were beyond good—they were extraordinary. Anna Marie is the most amazing and talented chef I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is one of a kind. Christian, the manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us. He was so kind and knowledgeable on all of the items on the menu.
Overall, Agrigento Italian Restaurant offers an unparalleled dining experience in Aruba. From the fresh seafood and delicious pasta to the stunning decor and exceptional service, it’s a place that promises and delivers an unforgettable meal. We left with full hearts and even fuller stomachs, eager to...
