Brownies&downieS Assen — Restaurant in Assen

Beautiful place! We visited Assen the first time back in 2020 and ended up here and loved it. Now in 2023 we were back for a visit in town and from the beginning said that on our final day we would come back here. So we did and we loved it even more! We tried a few dishes this time and on quite a few you could get vegetarian options. We went for Bitterballen (veggie), fries with truffel mayo, nachos vega and an M&M brownie. All the time through our meal my wife said multiple times "All of it is a 10/10 and the nachos are an 11!" The nachos were the best I've had so far with a beautiful cheese sauce and an even more delicious tomato salsa which tasted fresh and sweet like no tomato salsa I've had before!

The staff is always attentive and kind hearted and some of the staff does speak english. We love the idea behind this restaurant and hope to see more like this one!

We are already looking forward to our next trip to Assen and we'll stop by again.

wij zijn in Assen TT zaterdag wilden wij (pers) er eten, we vroegen om de menu kaart maar die was er niet ivm. TT, wel hadden ze een aangepast menu vonden we ook goed. Er werd 2 keer fish and chips besteld, ik keer een burger menu en 1 keer sate menu, nadat het ten was gebracht viel het ons toch erg tegen, bij de fish and chips menu zat bijna geen friet in het mandje, en er lagen 4 stukjes kibbeling op het bord, en bij de sate menu ook bijna geen friet en ok maar een 5 stukjes vlees, het burger menu ook bijna geen fiet maar de burger was prima. dit alles was nog niet zo erg geweest maar wij schrokken van de prijs die we er voor moesten betalen, nl. 17,95 per menu. Ik snap dat het TT is maar waarom dan zulke hoge...
