Pesos Food and Drink — Restaurant in Asten

The slow braised pork was actually well executed, but was served with some salad of which some leafs weren’t fit for serving, it happens, fine.

Ribeye was cooked through all the way, no searing, just grill marks, a well done stake, grey on the inside. The steaks are also thin, I suggest to get smaller, thicker cuts and to actually sear them.

Served on the side were what I think deep frozen vegetables, the paprika was mushy, a big let down when the starter was actually fine. The pepper sauce was too thick and didn’t really taste fresh.

Price wasn’t too bad if it were good, it unfortunately wasn’t good.

Best price/quality you can get in Asten! For years the food has been very good here. And even now with large inflation numbers: the prices are still solid and very attractive. Service is sometimes lacking, not spotting me as a customer and therefore creating unneeded longer time between courses. I could order and enjoy it more if they would look me in the eye more often ;) The interior has some curvy surprises and the terrace outside looks out to the old and charming 'Witte Kerkje' of In de Gloria. But it is also located at a sometimes busy...

Gisteren ter afsluiting van ons vrienden wekend op de Strabrechtse vennen.

Wezen eten bij Pesos eten en drinken. We hebben er goed gegeten: vooraf lekker mandje stokbrood met romige kruidenboter en aioli/knoflook spread.

Hooftgerecht: Snitzels met champignonsaus (deze was echt groot) en de spare ribes waren ook echt goed (dit kan helaas niet iedereen). De kip sate was ook erg lekker.

Goed gebakken frietjes of patat het is maar hoe je het wil noemen. En de cheesecake als ook de dame blanche was echt goed.

Vriendelijk personeel, leuk in gerichte al met al een top tent. Zeker de moeite waard om er terug te komen als ik in de buurt ben.

Dus een aan radder om hier heen te gaan. En mocht je op het park zitten, dit is met de auto goed te doen nog geen 7min rijden en parkeergelegenheid genoeg.

Denk er alleen wel aan dat Asten met parkeer schijven werkt overdag.
