Sharp Sharp — Restaurant in Barendrecht

If you are looking for sugar-free 'sweets', this is a very nice place to be.

They are a plant-based bakery and have many cakes, biscuits, flower granola & much more.

You can order to take away, but you can also sit inside or outside on the terrace. We ordered inside and sat outside on the terrace. There was enough space to sit in the shade :).

We took a mix of the different cakes and it was very tasty! The taste is very good (especially the lemon cake). The base is not too powerful, so you are not full. (This can sometimes be the case when the bottom is made of dates for instance).

They are in a location that is currently being developed with a lot of new buildings. You walk in 10 minutes to katendrecht, kop op zuid or to the Erasmusbrug.

I do miss the cosiness. It feels a bit boring and no urgency to go there again tomorrow, for example. But it is a nice place to go 'on the go'.

This is such an amazing patisserie! Plant-based, no gluten, no refined sugars and (still) incredibly tasty! Also, they are very active in aiming for ways of producing happiness inducing goodies that have as small as possible eco impact but a big social one. Bottom line is, Renate and Frank are just very very kind people, and that undeniably shines through in all things they make. Admitted, I still very much miss their coffee place in Rotterdam (including it's savoury menu items), but it is understandable and applaudable that they are now focussing on making their cakes widely available by delivery and in hospitality/shops all over the...

After going to the Cake Bar nextdoor, I had to try out Sharp Sharp new store called "Everyday". In addition to the madness raw cakes, here you can find a whole range of savory and sweet delicacies. Their menu has its own twist with original names and catchphrases. I went for the Green Stardust bowl topped with their homemade Matcha granola.
