Joe Eugene Mann - the great man this place is named after has to be the inspiration for Captain America. He sacrificed his life so that others may live, here in Best, 18-september 1944.

There is a big sitting area outside. It's quite pleasant on warm days. Dogs are allowed while leashed. They have water bowls ready for dogs too.

They serve really good pies. Try the "oma" gebak. It's rhubarb pie. Every bite tastes like Christmas day.

If you sit outside, you'll regularly see and hear airplanes taking off from Eindhoven airport.

What a nice treat after walking the trails thru the forest. Very friendly (busy on Sunday lunchtime) staff and ideally located in the forest. A cool monument to commemerate a war hero who gave up his life by throwing himself on a grenade to save the lives of his 6 buddies. Big celebration in September to relive the history.
