Café - Bistro 't Wapen — Restaurant in Bodegraven-Reeuwijk

Husband ordered mustard soup. It was good but way too salty. Husband ordered the loaded French fries, which he thought was nice. I ordered the burger medium rare and the picture is what I got. I've ordered med rare before at different places and never got this red before. It was so rare that the flesh stuck in your teeth! But waitress insisted this was good. I also asked that the cucumbers be removed but got a bunch which I had to pick out. So, if you want a hamburger tartaar that's fine. Not what I wanted. Burger had very little taste, but fries had allot. We were thinking before the food came that we were going to come here for dinner tomorrow since we saw chateaubriand on the board,but quickly changed our mind at the food quality.

Edit: restaurant was prompt with responses and apologized for lunch. They were kind enough to reimburse us for the dishes. This was quite decent and although the burger and soup were less than what we expected, they assured me that it was a mistake and would be handled better...

De boot ziet er mooi uit: Helder glanzende kleuren in plaats van verweerde of verbleekte. Een mooi dik touw rondom de boot als sier stootrand. De besturing is eenvoudig en navigeren leer je snel. Neem een kleine campingtafel mee, handig voor brood en smeersels. Een handige Harry kan zelfs een parasol aan boord nemen, met parasolvoet. ;-) Parkeren is erg lastig bij Bistro 't Wapen. In de directe omgeving lukt het wel, maar wees voorbereid op een kleine wandeling. ENG Very relaxed boattrip over the Reeuwijk lakes with an electric outboard motor. Great boat with good seats. The boat looks nice: Bright glossy colors instead of weathered or faded. A nice thick rope around the boat as a decorative fender. The controls are simple and you learn to navigate quickly on the go. Take a small camping table with you, useful for bread and spreads. A smarty pants can even take a parasol on board, with a parasol base. ;-) Parking is very difficult at Bistro 't Wapen. In the immediate vicinity are spaceshuttle available, but be prepared for a short walk. GER Sehr entspanntes Bootsfahrt über den Reeuwijk-Seen mit elektrischem Außenborder. Tolles Boot mit guten Sitzen. Das Boot sieht gut aus: Helle, glänzende Farben statt verwittert oder verblasst. Ein schönes dickes Seil um das Boot als dekorativer Kotflügel. Die Steuerung ist einfach und Sie lernen, unterwegs schnell zu navigieren. Nehmen Sie einen kleinen Campingtisch mit, der für Brot und Brotaufstriche geeignet ist. Ein kluger Bursche kann sogar einen Sonnenschirm mit an Bord nehmen. ;-) Das Parken am Bistro 't Wapen ist sehr schwierig. In unmittelbarer Nähe stehen parkplätze zur Verfügung, aber seien Sie auf einen kurzen Spaziergang...

This is a great place to rent a boat for up to 8 person on a hourly bases. We did 2 hours which was plenty of time to crusie around and enjoy the the sights. When you finish you can enjoy a very nice outdoor bar on the water front. Highly recommend the bitterball with a draft beer (they have many to choose from) or a nice glass of wine... they also have a nice food menu but we only had snacks,...
