Local food is almost always the best and this place is one of the reasons why! They are way off the beaten path (off a dirt road, in fact) so you will only find it if you are looking for it. Excellent food, amazing staff, plenty of shaded tables, and a lot of parking. I had the fish with rice and fries (also came with a little salad and a couple of fried plantains) and hubby had the goat stew (more like stewed goat as it was not a stew, though they do sell goat soup) with fries and funchi (cornmeal). The funchi was different and not to our liking but everything else was great! Only $15 per plate which is very reasonable. I highly recommend eating here!

The place is quite remote on a dirt road. Therefore you’ll meet just locals and local Makamba’s; hardly any tourist. It has a nice and friendly atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. You’ll have to wait in line to order at the counter. Then you wait for you’re food to arrive. You can order to go or to eat your meal there. In the dining area is also a bar where you order the drinks. I had the goat and papaya stew. It was nice. The portion was big enough. It was 19 USD which I found a bit much. Therefore four stars. Let me know if I’m being too critical…

Your visit to Bonaire is only complete with a lunch at Maiky Snack. You'll find traditional Krioyo delicacies like the Kabritu StobĂĄ. The meat was perfectly tender and bursting with flavor. There's also a variety of fish, other meat options and a vegetarian option available (e.g. Okra or Papaya stew). They come with a side of rice, fries or funchi (polenta) and a salad and plantain. Delicious!

The service is terrible, the girl who takes the orders has no quality of service. She has such a despotic attitude, she talks as if you were going to ask her for something! and you are paying for what you are going to eat. I like local foods but THE SERVICE SO TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE NO QUALITY IN SERVICE! I'm SCARED TO VISIT LOCAL RESTAURANTS BECAUSE THEIR ATTITUDES, THEY ARE ALWAYS ANGRY, WITHOUT DESIRE TO WORK 😭 I thought a lot before making this review but the service at the place is terrible. THERE IS NO QUALITY OF CUSTOMER ... THIS SHOULD NOT BE A SYMBOL OF CULTURE I DON'T WANT TO SAY THIS , BUT THE ATTENTION IS HORRIBLE. THE FOOD IS VERY DELICIOUS!!!! ... BUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I LOVE BONAIRE AND I'M NOT SAYING THAT ALL THE PEOPLE OF BONAIRE ARE LIKE THIS BUT THE LOCAL RESTAURANTS PRACTICALLY ALL HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE. PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY COMMENT BADLY BUT THESE PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW THEY CAN HAVE THE BEST LOCAL FOOD BUT THE SERVICES ARE ALSO THE...
