Bagels & Beans — Restaurant in Capelle aan den IJssel

It's a very nice place, best tasting coffee in the mall, it's very neat and cosy but sadly the only thing that I found absolutely strange, yet the most important for a restaurant/cafe is the hygiene. All food, fruit, and drink are prepared with bare hands without the use of gloves or tongs. Some of the hands were also handling cash and serving tables. There was salad being literally grabbed with bare hands and placed on the bagel. It's not pleasant seeing something like that. It wouldn't hurt to use a tong to grab vegetables or even cold meat. At one point, I actually noticed a staff member holding mint leaves with their fingers and dipping them into a cup of hot water. The tips of their fingers were going into the water trying to prepare the mint tea instead of using a spoon. There was also another staff member making a sandwich with long chipped nail varnish. To be honest, I actually like the place, but I will only go there for their delicious coffee and little chocolate chips. I definitely think the hygiene when handling food and drinks that require preparation needs...

It’s a really nice place, tidy, really clean. The staff was really friendly and fast. 10/10 I would definitely come back again.

The only thing I don’t understand it’s what’s up with those menus that look like books/100 page magazines haha I even heard other customers complaining about it. We get the idea but there are impossible to navigate, i don’t know...

Zeer prettige, gezellige en sfeervolle plek om alleen of met anderen te vertoeven. Heerlijke cappuccino,diverse bagels om van te smullen en ook een prima plek voor hen die graag even hun werk op de laptop willen doen.

Er zijn genoeg stopcontacten aanwezig. Je bent er zelfs van harte welkom als je even wilt zitten zonder iets te bestellen. Personeel is altijd zeer vriendelijk en enthousiast wat maakt dat je je hier echt welkom voelt Oh ja, er is ook nog een terras.
