Fuego Adventure Grill — Restaurant in Coevorden

This is an absolutely authentic experience. First of all the interior decoration conflating the Inca in South America, with Maya imagery and a menu shaped like an Aztec Calendar is just culturally insensitive enough to make "Fuego" a masterpiece in making a burger place seem exotic.

The "adventure" begins (as recommended by Cole) with a underlit fire themed one hour wait for starters. Followed by the adventurously overcooked mains. If you want to try real ethnic cuisine this is the restaurant you should visit, as it has the best flavors of canned vegetables and pre-condimmeneted meats freshly picked form the local Albert Heijn.

In sum this is like if a Dutch student put on a Mexican sombrero and decided to open a Peruvian restaurant on their frat house.

On the positive side, I really enjoyed eating to a mediocre cover of the Lion...

Microwaved food, at best. Quite disappointing as we had a great experience at a different location last year. This time: chicken soup tasted the same a supermarket brand from a can.. for €10! And the €25 burger was worse than Febo - compressed processed slimy meat. The fries and gratin were reheated (probably multiple times) and/or left under heating lamps so they were dry as bone. Not to mention it took almost 3 hours for dinner. Extremely slow service, and we had to wave a server down every time....

De sfeer van het restaurant is echt leuk. Het thema is goed tot uiting gebracht. Het personeel is jong en onervaren, maar maken dat dubbel goed met vriendelijkheid. Het eten was in de eerste instantie echt een tegenvallen. We hadden de spies voor twee personen, twee stukjes kip, varkenshaas en rundersteak. Absoluut niet genoeg voor twee personen. We kregen piepkleine stukjes steak en het was zo droog werkelijk niet te eten. De mais was al koud. Gelukkig werd er een nieuwe steak voor ons gebakken en dit was wel een fatsoenlijke portie en sappig. De knakworsten voor kids waren prima, spareribs hadden een vreemde structuur (supermarkt ribs) maar de smaak was wel goed. De caipirinha cocktail werd gebracht met 1 stukje limoen en zonder stamper, maar ook dit werd na twee keer vragen opgelost en daarna was het een lekker drankje.
